Using these facts as a basis, we decided to carry out our experiments on two possible properties of this tea:

1. to look for any effect on weight without any restricted eating regime or without any anorexic prescription. We made it clear to each of our patients that we wanted them to continue with their former eating habits. even sometimes with some excesses if that was their habit.

PHARMACOLOGY/药理学

The black tea of the YUNNAN was subjected to a microscopic and chromatographic analysis by the FINEL Laboratory, 245 Rue Lecourbe, Paris 15eme, from which it was revealed that it was “a pure tea, conforming to the French pharmacopoeia, usable in pharmacy as a medicinal product”.

in 31.25% of these cases the use of THO CHA TEA produced good or very good results and, including themedium result cases, a percentage of 50% was achieved. This, I repeat, appears very interesting.

GENERAL CONCLUSIONS/总结

On the whole, if the effect on weight of YUNNAN TUO CHA TEA taken according to our instructions has been shown to be too inconsistent to be taken into consideration, we have been agreeably surprised as regards its effecit on the lipid metabolism, It is indisputably on the levels of triglycerides that, statistically, the results look very encouraging:then in order of decreasing efficacy, the effect on total lipids and cholesterol.

We wish to emphasise that this investigation, conducted without notification of the previous eating habits and without therapeutic additives. Also that enables us to recommend strongly the addition Of YUNNAN TUO CHA TEAto the diet of people with high levels of lipids, as a therapeutic adjuvant necessary in other respects.

It seems to us equally beneficial to have to complete this preliminary study with a study of a larger number of case but we wished to draw the attention of our colleagues quickly to this simple anodyne possibility without side-effect and fully beneficial.
